Social Media Director | Business Team

The social media director posts regular content on our Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn pages, writes and distributes a monthly newsletter, builds a monthly publicity calendar, and works closely with other teams to publicize the organization’s events. They will look for new and creative ways to raise awareness of our publication. They should have a keen eye for social trends and exceptional communication skills. As a representative for the organization, they will be expected to familiarize themself with the Open Ceilings aesthetic and audience. 

Responsibilities

  • Managing social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn

  • Writing a monthly newsletter summarizing the organization’s activities and future plans

  • Maintaining email LISTSERVs 

  • Creating a monthly calendar to schedule posts and other publicity efforts

  • Reliably posting content with expressive and creative captions

  • Building relationships with other organizations to spread content on external social media pages

  • Attending and staffing Open Ceilings quarterly events
