Painting helps me to record thoughts and ideas that I feel a strange attachment to, while not necessarily understanding them. I enjoy showing others simple objects framed in a new perspective. I like to capture a feeling of looking inside a room from the outside. I try to create distance between the viewer and the painting, while maintaining familiarity.
